Welcome to Chess Academy Reading and Math Tutoring
A 2010 study by the Wisconsin Center for Educational Research demonstrated Chess Academy as one of the top reading and math tutoring providers in Chicago. Students in the Chess Academy 2006-07 program made math gains of 23% on the ISAT Test. Students in the Chess Academy 2007-08 program made an average ISAT reading gain of 1.68 grade levels. This is our 6th year as an SES Provider in the state of Illinois.

Chess Academy offers a complete and interactive reading and mathematics program for students in grades 1-8. Research-based and data-driven, our innovative and successful curriculum integrates reading and math with chess as a learning tool to improve students’ problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills in the areas of logic, pattern recognition, perception, coordination, spatial relations, decision-making, and visualization.
