Welcome to Chess Academy Reading and Math Tutoring

Independent reports have ranked Chess Academy as one of the top reading and math tutoring providers in Chicago. Students in the Chess Academy 2006-07 program made math gains of 23% on the ISAT Test. Students in the Chess Academy 2007-08 program made an average ISAT reading gain of 1.68 grade levels. This will be our 5th year as an SES Provider in the state of Illinois.

Chess Academy offers a complete and interactive reading and mathematics program for students in grades 1-8. Research-based and data-driven, our innovative and successful curriculum integrates chess with reading and math as a learning tool to improve students’ problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills in the areas of logic, pattern recognition, perception, coordination, spatial relations, decision-making, and visualization.

*Chess Academy offers free chess programs to Title I Schools that have selected Chess Academy as one of their onsite Reading and Math SES tutoring providers.
